Midge is the first attorney to receive her Ph.D. in energy medicine from
Holos University working with Caroline Myss and Norm Shealy, M.D., Ph.D.
She understands both the law and the healing arts which allows her to lend
her expertise as a bridge between the two worlds.
Midge has combined her unique experiences as an attorney and teacher to
create leading edge academic and continuing education courses on the ethical,
legal, and regulatory issues in practicing energy-based therapies.
She is a professor at Energy Medicine University and the Academy of Intuition Medicine. She is the co-author of Creating Right Relationships: A Practical Guide to Ethics in Energy Therapies with Dorothea Hover-Kramer, founder and past president of the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology.
Because of her expertise and engaging presentations, Midge
is frequently requested to speak at national conferences.
Midge also has over a decade of legal and business experience in the motion
picture and television industry, having served as vice-president of legal/business
affairs for the Walt Disney Company and American Broadcasting Companies.
In addition, She has served as general counsel for Patagonia and EMP America
before earning her Ph.D. in energy medicine.
She is a Therapeutic Touch Practitioner and a founding member of the Northwest
Therapeutic Touch Institute. Midge also serves on the Ethics Committee for
the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology and is a member of a
number of national organizations such as ISSEEEM and Institute of Noetic
Sciences.
On the personal side, Midge is a competitive tennis player and a certified
tennis teacher by the United States Professional Tennis Association. She
lives on 50 beautiful acres outside of Eugene, OR with her beloved cats
and all the wild creatures that live with her on the land.
Midge has always given our organization topnotch, straight forward information. When we have any shady areas of ethical behavior, I always communicate with her to align things properly. She has been an invaluable resource for the CSTA/NA.
