Creating Right Relationships
A Practical Guide to Ethics in Energy Therapies
This book addresses the practical ways of
dealing with ethical and legal issues that can arise for the many practitioners
who are using innovative, energy-oriented approaches. It describes the many
aspects of therapeutic practice that work with the human energy system - the
biofield, the energy centers, and the meridians - and the possible personal
and legal concerns involved in developing right relationships when utilizing
these new approaches.
By right relationships we mean developing
the appropriate, client-centered, caring, and respectful connections that
honor both the client and practitioner. Creating right relationship signifies
the sacred contract between healer and healee to support well-being and transformational
consciousness.
The book is divided into four parts. The first addresses the ethical and legal
concerns in relation to innovative therapies. The second discusses establishing
and maintaining right relationships with clients. The third delves into developing
right relationship with colleagues and our communities. The fourth looks at
establishing right relationship with ourselves.
The book contains many case examples to assist
the reader in applying the principles and concepts in the book to their own
practices.

A valuable resource for energy-oriented practitioners. The information presented

the practitioner. I highly recommend this book for the energy-oriented practitioner
as well as for the traditional healthcare provider as a source of greater understanding
into the difficulties encountered in the developing field of integrative medicine.
Christine Tobin, APRN, BC, A-HNC
Graduate and past professional practice chair, Barbara Brennan School of Healing
Creating Right Relationships is a map for energy
medicine practitioners. Using it will help you stay on course and avoid
destructive and potential dangerous ethical errors. It is a book that should
be within reach of every energy medicine practitioner. Drs. Hover-Kramer
and Murphy make a valuable contribution to the field by emphasizing how
the ethical practice of energy medicine is based on the reliability of practitioners'
"inner compass", developed by having right relationships with
themselves. This is more than an academic discussion. The growth and broader
public and professional acceptance of energy medicine depends of these ethical
guidelines being integrated into every encounter.
